July has been one of the hottest on record and pool owners have been in their pools only to realize the poor condition of their pool's finish. Those who had their pools resurfaced by Bikini Pools early in the spring are enjoying a brand new surface that will last for 20 summers.

When your surface begins to gain unsightly stains and green and black algae will not brush out, it may be time to consider a new surface.

The dog days of summer are an ideal time to call Bikini Pools for a complete pool and deck makeover because we are not as busy. The busy season will begin in the fall and wait times will grow.

Why are Pavers the Best Surface for Pool Decks and Driveways?

  • Most Pool decks have a bird cage which contains a bottom plate. This plate tends to trap water and cause mildew to accumulate. Thin pavers are 30mm thick (about 1") and properly placed will eliminate this problem.
  • Thick pavers are best used when there is not substrata to support said pavers. We use road base and crushed concrete to level the area. Concrete driveways are completely removed.
  • Thick and thin pavers are colored throughout and therefore no fading occurs.
  • Thick and thin pavers are guaranteed not to break or crack if properly installed.
  • New polymeric sand for concrete thick and thin paver joints helps control weed growth.
